During one of my usual browsing sessions on various online sources for model cars, I came across this green metallic Lamborghini Temerario on a 1/18 scale, and I have to admit I was really surprized about it, I already managed to add the three colors Bburago released on this model a while ago, the purple metallic one that looks like Viola Pasifea, the satin blue one that should be Blu Marinus, and finally the orange metallic one supposed to be Arancio Borealis … but those all came in the typical black Bburago packaging.
But this new one, which looks to me like a Verde Mantis, comes in a Maisto Special Edition box. Now, I do know that Maisto and Bburago both belong to the May Cheong Group, so they do share models among those two brands, but I didn’t know Maisto would release the Temerario, let alone in a rather nice green metallic shade.
All these Bburago/Maisto Lamborghini Temerario models come with the same wheels, the Velador Forged 20/21” rims in the Diamond Cut finish. It would have been nice to see a full silver wheel, or even a black wheel on this green one, but I guess that would be too difficult to do in the current production line for this model.
Same story for the inside, all four shades have a plain black interior, and come with the optional sport seats … just imagine a touch of green on the seats, dashboard, and door panels, that would make so much difference, and I honestly don’t think it would cost a lot more in production anyway.
Bottom line is that I rather like this Verde Mantis release from Maisto on the Lamborghini Temerario at 1/18 scale; it looks good, and the color really suits this model. I know the response to the Temerario in general hasn’t been unanimously positive, but it is the new V8 hybrid model from Sant’Agata, so we’ll have to make do with it.
