When I first saw this Timemicro Lamborghini Countach LPI 800-4 model, I was ... surprised, to say the least, this 1/64 scale model just looked ridiculous at first glance, a kind of race car aero kit imposed on the limited edition New Countach, no way one of the 112 owners would ever even consider doing this to their pride and joy.

But then I found this specific ‘Mechanic Version’ of this model, for a low price, and I could add it to another order, so I avoided shipping costs on it, so I said to myself, ‘why not’, which is odd for me, as I am usually against adding fantasy models to my collection, but it this case, the utter ridiculous look (at least to me), won me over, so it is now a part of my ever growing 1/64 scale Lamborghini collection.

This Mechanic Version from Timemicro ships with an extra set of wheels in a different design. An even bigger rear wing, and a pair of exterior rearview mirrors, but truth be told, I have no idea how to change these from the original ones that are on the model, so I’m leaving it alone for the time being.

For what I paid for this one, it’s a nice addition to the collection, for me this ‘Cyberpunk’ style Countach LPI 800-4 surely wasn’t a must-have, but it’s a rather nice-to-have model in the end.
