Right now Bburago has released their 1/18 scale model of the new Lamborghini Temerario in three different colors, this satin blue metallic we see here, a rather nice-looking purple metallic, and a bright orange, sadly the latter I haven’t received yet, it should be available in Europe right now, but it seems the online shop from where I ordered it didn’t get their shipment yet, but it will arrive soon.
I have processed the photos on the Viola Pasifae (at least that’s what it looks like to me) Temerario and written a review about it earlier, bottom line was that is looked amazing, from a few feet away, but up close the paint finish wasn’t that good, with the metal underneath shining through on just about every edge, not good.
So does this satin blue metallic look any better? Yes, it does. Bburago seems to be doing really well with satin paint finishes; their Sian looked amazing, so did the V12 Vision GT, and now this Lamborghini Temerario joins that list. It looks great, and those chrome-polished look wheels are perfect for this shade too.
Now I have to admit one thing, if this is meant to be Blu Marinus, as seen on the press release car from Lamborghini, Bburago missed it, it isn’t the correct hue of blue when I compare it to the much more expensive MR version of the Lamborghini Temerario I also have in the collection, but on it’s own this is a very nice matte blue anyway, so I have no issue with putting it on my shelves on display.
I also couldn’t resist doing a small Lamborghini V10 evolution photo, from the original Lamborghini Gallardo over the Lamborghini Huracan LP610-4 to the latest Lamborghini Temerario, all in the period correct press release exterior color, now I have to say both the Gallardo and the Huracan are AUTOart models, while the Temerario is ‘just’ a Bburago, but it holds up its place just fine, I like it.
At the time of writing, I like this satin blue metallic version of the Bburago Lamborghini Temerario best, the Viola looks good on the shelf, but not up close, and I haven’t received the orange one yet to fully compare all three, but for now, this blue one is the one to get, in my opinion.
