In February 2023, Automobili Lamborghini SpA unveiled the swansong of the NA V12 engine used in their successful Aventador lineup. They were going to build two unique cars powered by that amazing 770 hp beauty taken from the Aventador SVJ/Aventador Ultimae.

One coupe and one roadster, the Invencible and Autentica, respectively, the closed version finished in Rosso Efesto, while the roadster came in Grigio Titans. Both models were designed by the Centro Stile at Sant'Agata, but with some serious input from the two customers, who got 'invited' to acquire these final NA V12 Raging Bulls. The Invencible was spotted with a Swiss licence plate while the Autentica went to a customer in Monaco.

When you look at these two Lamborghinis, you can clearly see influences from some legendary few-off models made in Sant'Agata in recent history. There is some Reventón to be found in the styling, but also details from the Sesto Elemento can be recognized, while the magnificent Veneno also contributed to these one-offs.

As usual, if you want to add a 1/18 scale model of these rare Lamborghinis to your collection, you'll have to get them from MR, and while the Autentica got delivered rather quickly for MR standards (July 2024), this Invencible took considerably longer to arrive (March 2025), remember MR announced them shortly after Lamborghini did, so I ordered these in February 2023, so are these worth the wait, and more importantly, worth their price?

For me personally, yes, I love Lamborghini, so when I can add a one-off model to my collection, in the correct shade as built by Automobili Lamborghini SpA, I'm in, but not at any price, naturally, it has to be reasonable ... for me at least.

At the time of writing, I have a total of 46 1/18 scale Lamborghini models from MR in my collection, so I somewhat know what to expect when they release a new model, and having the Autentica already in the collection for months, I wasn't expecting anything additional from this Invencible, and I was right.

The model looks amazing, typical MR quality, the carbon fiber decals are beautiful, the deep red metallic paint looks great, and all the details from the real car seem to be present on this 1/18 scale model too, so I'm not complaining ... too much.

Same as on their Autentica, MR went with sealed intake grilles on the side of this Invencible, and that just doesn't go down too well in my book, this is a high-end, sealed resin model that usually sells for about €400, a limited production run of just 399 units, all individually numbered ... and then you revert to sealed grilles!?

But that about the only complaint I would have for this MR Lamborghini Invencible, I love this shade of red on a Lamborghini, and I love the aggressive, unique styling of this model, the rear wing 'support' is just amazing, and I think those twelve openings on the engine cover, finished in red, just as they were on the Sesto Elemento, are just magnificent.
