When Maisto released the Lamborghini Revuelto on a 1/18 scale, I added all four colors to my collection, the green and the orange one being the regular release, and a yellow and a satin grey one being so-called ‘Carmodel exclusive’ versions, I even added a second orange one from China because once again, Maisto decided to add side windows to the Chinese version, and not to the ones for the other markets.

In my mind, that was it, four colors. I even kept an eye out on some online sources to see if they would release a black one perhaps, but no luck. Suddenly, I saw an auction listing for a red one, in a different style of Maisto box, so I was intrigued and made an offer … it was accepted, so now I have five different Lamborghini Revuelto from Maisto to display.

Back when I received the yellow version, I was rather disappointed that they put an orange interior inside it, while the green one had a nice, color-coded interior, why not put a yellow interior in the yellow car? Fortunately for this additional color, the interior was matched in red, a small detail is the fact that the paint on the seats and dashboard is glossy, but it’s a low-cost model, so I’m not too bothered with that.

Other than that, this fifth color isn’t anything different from the earlier releases, apart from the color. The wheels are still completely black, and in the same style, the brake calipers are black too, as are the rear view mirrors, the only reason to get this one for the collection is if you like red better than the press release orange.
