I was browsing my usual online sources for Lamborghini scale cars when I came across a bright green 1/18 scale Revuelto on AliExpress, priced at just €37 with free shipping. I looked into it further. This was a suspiciously low price, but it seemed legit, however, if you wanted a box, the price went up to well above €45, so I opted for the low-cost no-box version (the seller also offered an orange one).

It didn’t take very long to arrive in Europe, and for once, it passed without additional import costs, probably because of the low price, or just plain luck, I don’t know, but to be honest, I was pleasantly surprised when I opened the styrofoam box with the model inside in bubble wrap, so it was nicely protected.

Now I did read something interesting in the description on AliExpress, this model comes with sound and light, so I looked for the switch underneath the model, and nothing ... there are no batteries in the model, most likely to avoid issues during shipment, this model did arrive by plane, so I went out to get three LR44 cell batteries, and inserted them ... and behold, headlights and taillights come on.

I was expecting some kind of engine sound, as I found a speaker underneath the model, but it turns out you have to press the steering wheel on the inside for the horn to sound ... oh, and I noticed when you switch on the lights, the dashboard also lights up, how cool is that.

I didn’t have a bright green metallic Lamborghini Revuelto on a 1/18 scale in my collection, and at this price, I just had to add it to my list of Revuelto models from Maisto and MR, and this one does open up, both doors go up, you can open the engine cover, and the front hood also opens, but don’t expect any high quality, in the end this really is a toy, and it sits below the Maisto 1/18 scale models, just know what you get into if you want to add this one too.
