You know I’m an avid collector of 1/18 scale AUTOart models, but I also like their 1/43 series, and who doesn’t like a larger model in their collection, so I’ve always had an eye out for their 1/12 scale models too, but usually they are expensive, and they just take up too much space, which is why I never actively had them on my must-have list.

But that changed over time, as I started to find the odd deal here and there, and at a certain point AUTOart was even dumping their stock at seriously reduced pricing, so I set out to get just one color on every 1/12 Lamborghini they released years ago, and this Blu Glauco finished Huracán Performante is the final one to complete my series from AUTOart.

Blu Glauco is one of those Lamborghini colors that transforms depending on the lighting. Under bright illumination, it appears as a vibrant blue, while in softer light it takes on a deeper, more sophisticated tone. AUTOart has captured this factory finish exceptionally well, with a flawless paint application free from orange peel, dust particles, or inconsistencies. The smooth, glossy finish highlights every crease and contour of the Huracán's dramatic bodywork.

Combined with the exposed forged composite accents, glossy black Narvi wheels over yellow brake calipers, the Blu Glauco finish creates a striking contrast that perfectly complements the Performante's aggressive personality.

At nearly 16 inches (about 40 cm) long, the 1:12-scale Huracán Performante commands attention. This isn't simply an enlarged 1:18 model, it feels like a genuine centerpiece, and it really is a lot larger than a 1/18 scale model. Also note the difference between Blu Glauco (paint code 0123) on the 1/12 scale model compared to the Blu Cepheus (paint code 0105) on the 1/18 scale model, keeping in mind Blu Glauco is a solid blue, Blu Cepheus is a metallic blue.

The larger scale allows every aerodynamic element to stand out, from the deep front splitter and sculpted side skirts to the towering rear wing and higher-mounted exhaust outlets. Every vent, intake, and sharp edge has remarkable definition, giving the model an unmistakable supercar presence, and let’s not forget this is a composite model, it isn’t a diecast.

Every opening panel operates smoothly, including the doors, front luggage compartment, and rear engine cover. The hinges are neatly engineered and remain well hidden when closed, but when you open the hood or engine cover, you notice the intricate design, mimicking the real car in near-perfect detail.

The Performante's extensive use of forged composite carbon fiber was one of the defining characteristics of the real car, and AUTOart has recreated these components beautifully, even down into the engine compartment and the interior, very nice attention to detail.

The front splitter, rear diffuser, side skirts, engine cover, rear wing, and aerodynamic elements feature a convincing forged composite texture that closely resembles the material used on the full-size Lamborghini. Even the small "ALA" logos referencing Lamborghini's Aerodinamica Lamborghini Attiva active aerodynamic system are faithfully reproduced.

The digital instrument cluster, center console controls, paddle shifters, air vents, and even the distinctive fighter-jet-inspired starter button receive careful attention. The cabin perfectly captures the minimalist yet purposeful atmosphere of Lamborghini's ultimate naturally aspirated Huracán.

Lifting the rear engine cover reveals the naturally aspirated 5.2-liter V10. Although much of the engine is concealed beneath its covers, just as on the real car, AUTOart has still included plenty of detail. Various hoses, reservoirs, structural bracing, intake components, and engine textures are accurately represented, making the engine compartment highly convincing.

The overall assembly quality is excellent. Panel alignment is consistent, paint quality is outstanding, and the opening mechanisms feel precise. As with many highly detailed 1:12 AUTOart models, owners should operate the panels carefully, particularly around the large rear wing where access to the engine cover requires a gentle touch.

The AUTOart 1:12 Lamborghini Huracán Performante in Blu Glauco represents everything collectors expect from a flagship large-scale model. Superb paintwork, exceptional fit and finish, highly detailed interior, accurate forged composite textures, and outstanding overall proportions combine to create a model that captures the character of Lamborghini's legendary V10 masterpiece.
